'Evaraina Epudaina' a romantic comedy entertainer. Direction and screenplay by Marthand is
good, but the story is weak. First half of the movie is average. The second half drags. The only
plus point of the movie is it's comedy. Cinematography by Venugopalan is good. Dialogues are
okay.
Story:
Story is about a mischievous and irresponsible brat Venkatesh (Varun). However, when he gets
his granny (sakuntala) admitted into the hospital, he meets Madhumita (vimala) who takes care of
an old age home. Venkat falls in love with Madhu and tries to win her. Later he misunderstands
that his friend is going to be engaged to Madhumita. This prompts Venkat to play a spoilsport in
the engagement ceremony. Then he realises that his friend is about to get engaged to the sister of
Madhumita. This incident happens when Madhu also starts to fall for Venkat. Seeing Venkat's
behaviour at the engagement she starts to hate him. How Venkat solves the mess and finally win
Madhu back again forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Both hero Varun and heroine Vimala gave just an average performance. Varun's dance moves
were good. Chemistry between the lead cast was missing. Venu Madhav, Kota Srinivas and
Rama Prabha were apt. All othe supporting cast did justice to their roles.
Music:
Music by Mani Sharma is average. He tried different tunes for this movie.
Verdict:
In a nutshell 'Evaraina Epudaina' can be watched once for it's comedy track. Overall can be
rated as a below average movie. | |
